NAASR GALA 65

CELEBRATING 65 YEARS and the OPENING OF WORLD HEADQUARTERS

Nearly 500 people of all ages packed the Royal Sonesta banquet hall to celebrate NAASR’s 65th Anniversary and the opening of its new world headquarters, on November 2, 2019.

Master of Ceremonies David Ignatius, novelist and Washington Post columnist, deftly moved along a full program that featured a performance by operatic sensation Isabel Bayrakdarian accompanied by the Borromeo String Quartet; readings by the Essay Contest co-winners; the presentation of awards recognizing extraordinary service to the organization; remarks by distinguished honoree Dr. Vartan Gregorian, President of The Carnegie Corporation of New York, for whom the NAASR headquarters is named; a heart-felt welcome by Chairman of the Board Yervant Chekijian; and joyous remarks by Executive Director Sarah Ignatius.

NAASR extends its deepest appreciation and gratitude to its Sponsors for helping NAASR usher in a new era so successfully! View the Sponsors here.
